British Gas Green Streets

The Esk Valley Community Energy Group got through to the final round of British Gas Green Streets. This is a competitive bid for £100,000 worth of energy efficiency and renewable energy installations in Castleton and Danby.

Three of the group members went to Newcastle on the 27th October to make their pitch to the Green Streets panel.

Fourteen communities from around the country will each receive installations up to a value of £100,000. The idea is to concentrate funding on 20 private homes in Castleton and Danby and 1 public building which is likely to be Danby Village Hall.
